Kind of what I would have done with my 'time off'
had I not been hitched to a *total* non-traveler.

happen. Sort of expected you to do it by boat though.

Ah the boat thang. Until the last couple years almost all my sailing has been inshore. Not necessarily small boats, but small waves was the objective. I suffer from that pecularity of people who's eyes attempt to compensate for the visual context not agreeing with the inner ear context, sea-sickness.
Consequently ocean cruising has never been seriously on my scope. What I had in mind was to go to Australia, take delivery on a fine, small custom trimaran, cruise the Great Barrier reef and areas adjacent, then ship said boat back to Ecotopia (assuming customs would allow all that plastic across the border). But life has it's twists and turns, and it seems that is not to be this time around.
Now recently, I've been doing some deliveries up and down the coast of this fine estate and discovered a remedy for the green feeling. It's called Stugeron, generically Cinnerazine. Available over the counter in most of Eu and GB, except Canada eh. It works, no side effects - nuff said.
Who knows. When one casts his fate to the winds and exposes oneself to new currents, tides, and lands, strange and unforetold things frequently happen.
