PLEASE SEND THIS AROUND TO EVERYONE YOU KNOW- HELP US FIND A RENTER
Hello Everyone,
We are getting ready to take off on our round the world trip and need to get our house rented. We wonder if anyone in our community of friends is looking for a rental for 9-10 months (Sept or October thru July or August- perfect for the school year) or knows anyone who might be interested.
We live in a nice house on a 1/2 acre in town, close to OSU, Sam's Station and the North Coop. Very friendly family neighborhood with great neighbors! We've gardened organically for the past 20 years and have a large vegetable garden, mature fruit trees, berries and perennial beds. Also outside is a play area made of untreated wood, a small pond and fountain and lots of room to relax. Pets are OK and the yard is completely fenced with a neighbor friendly deer fence.
The house is about 1800 square feet, 3 bedrooms, 2 baths and large kitchen with south facing windows with a connecting outside deck. The bedrooms are laid out in a way that you could have a family of 3 or 4 plus an extra person live here together (private bed/bath on back side of house). The house is 55 years old but has been fully remodeled within the last 15 years. It is in fine condition.
The rent is 1500.00 a month including yard maintenance but if you do the care yourself we could charge 1350.00. We also have 2 very nice dogs that would love to stay at home and get along well with other animals so if they can stay here with you we can charge 1200.00.
Please pass this along to anyone who might be in need of a good home. Feel free to call or email with any questions. Hope you are all having a wonderful summer!
Best Regards,

SOME FAVORITE QUOTES
I've been collecting some favorite quotes lately- not necessarily on purpose but you know how sometimes they fall into your life and stay. Usually I don't remember them for more than a day but these have hung around. The first came from Connor and it is a favorite. "Forget love, I'd rather fall in chocolate"
Then the one that Robert told me. "In the 60's we took drugs to get high. In the 90's we take drugs to get normal." Are the 2 men in my life both cynics or what?!
Then there is some great travel quotes that I've come across lately.
"Let me recommend the best medicine in the world: a long journey, at a mild season, through a pleasant country, in easy stages." Very yummy sounding and said by James Madison while President so you can somewhat excuse the daydreamy perfect quality to it!
Then there is Horace, a really cool dude from a VERY long time ago said this "They change their climate, not their soul, who rush across the sea." Wouldn't he be surprized today! But we can still take Horace to heart- to me he's saying- travel slow with open eyes, pay attention and suck it all up! Pure, simple and what we intend to do!
Then the other day I got an email from Mark at Mcleod Ecofarm in Australia where we will be staying of and on for 3 months this fall and he wrote "Luck only favors the brave" I had never heard that or really thought much about it but it's the truth! And something that has fashioned and affected my life many times.
Then from a hero of mine- The Peace Pilgrim said this very beautifully: "There is the well-worn road which is pleasing to the senses and gratifies worldly desires, but leads to nowhere. And there is the less traveled path, which requires purifications and relinquishments, but results in untold spiritual blessings." Here's a good one from Mark Twain "TRAVEL IS FATAL TO PREJUDICE." Simple words- HUGE meaning!
And last but not least my very -one that we'll tone down as we take good care of the kids on this trip, but always hoping that they pick up the vibe:
"Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out,
shouting "...holy shit...what a ride!"
